Sprungl Springs to a Double
Level 3
: Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Randall Williams opened to 1,000 in the hijack and the player on the button flatted. In the small blind, Troy Sprungl jammed for his remaining 10,000. Williams quickly tossed out the call, and the button opted to let his hand go after a minute's tank.
Troy Sprungl: 8♦8♣
Randall Williams: K♦Q♥
It was a coinflip scenario as the A♥9♥7♣ flop kept Sprungl in the lead. Nothing changed on the 6♣4♥ runout, leaving his eights best to secure the double and avoid an early trip to the rebuy line.
