Thurman Finds His Lady to Take Chip Lead
Level 14
: Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
A player opened to 15,000 under the gun before Robert Thurman jammed from the small blind covering the table. The opener quickly called off his roughly 115,000 stack.
Under the Gun: A♠K♠
Robert Thurman: A♣Q♥
Thurman's opponent was in good shape to double on the A♥10♦4♦ flop as his king kicker was still in good shape. However, the Q♦ would fall on the turn to give Thurman two pair, and he filled up on the A♦ river to seal the elimination as he becomes the largest stack in the room currently.
