Rollercoaster Runout Sees Hamilton Double with Aces
Level 12
: Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
John Riordan opened to 5,500 from early position before Eric Hamilton jammed for 27,000 two seats over, and Riordan quickly called once it folded back to him.
Eric Hamilton: A♥A♦
John Riordan: K♦Q♣
Hamilton was in great shape to double, but the K♣10♠3♥ flop brought a sweat, pairing Riordan. The Q♠ would land on the turn to give Riordan two pair.
It looked like a bad beat story was incoming until the J♥ landed on the river, giving Hamilton a broadway straight to survive in a rollercoaster runout.
