The Martyrdom of the Apostol
Level 13
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Tyson Apostol opened to 9,000 from early position and was called by Greg Nelson in the small blind, as well as the big blind.
On the A♠A♣J♥ flop, Apostol continued for 16,000 and only Nelson called.
Nelson checked again on the 5♥ turn as Apostol bet 25,000 and Nelson called again.
On the 7♥ river, Nelson quickly led all in for his final 93,000, and Apostol did not take long before he tossed in the call.
Greg Nelson: A♥2♥
Tyson Apostol: K♠J♣
Nelson flopped trips and rivered the nut flush, while Apostol could not get away from his jack as his stack took a massive hit.
The next hand, Apostol jammed for 38,000 under the gun and was eliminated after getting four-flushed on the river.
