Christmas Comes Early for Francoeur
Level 4
: 200/400, 400 ante
Louise Francoeur opened to 1,000 from early position before the Aaron Scheff three-bet to 3,000 on her left. The button then cold-called, and Francoeur came along as well.
On the 8♥8♦4♥ flop, Francoeur checked to Scheff who continued for 7,000, and the button called. Francoeur then moved all in for her roughly 37,000 stack. Scheff folded after a minute's tank, but the button was content to call off his 25,800 total stack, covered by Francoeur.
Button: 6♦5♦
Louise Francoeur: J♣8♣
Francoeur had flopped trip eights against the gutshot and backdoor flush draw of her opponent.
The A♦ turn brought a sweat, but the river was the 10♣ and Francoeur collected the pot.
