Stiner Finds His Miracle Lady on the River
Ryan Stiner raised to 20,000 with 32,000 behind from early position. It folded to the big blind who shrugged as he tossed in a collection of pink T-25,000 chips to ask for the rest, and Stiner called off his 52,000 total stack.
Ryan Stiner: Q♦Q♣
Big Blind: A♦5♥
Stiner was in good shape to double until the A♠5♦3♦ flop gave his opponent two pair. When the K♦ landed on the turn, Stiner tossed his cards face down in front of him and stood up from his seat, with even his diamond redraw covered.
However, the miracle Q♥ landed on the river to give Stiner a set of queens, and he retook his seat and flipped his cards back over as the table laughed at the humorous series of events.
"If I lost that one..." Stiner explained, "I would have just quit poker."
Stiner, who won this event in 2022 and 2023 with an 11th place finish last year, will not be quitting poker (yet).
