Candy Snacks on a Sweet Double
Level 6
: 300/600, 600 ante
Richard Candy opened to 1,500 in early position before Ronald Scott three-bet to 4,500 in the hijack, and Candy.
On the 8♥7♣6♠ flop, Candy led all in for his remaining 13,300, and Scott opted to call after some painful deliberation.
Richard Candy: J♦8♦
Ronald Scott: K♣Q♥
Candy had flopped top pair but his opponent held two live overcards. However, the A♣5♥ runout would leave Candy's pair of eights best, and he collected the full double.
