Pomonis Flops the Nuts to Double
Level 16: 4,000/8,000, 8,000
Heads-up to a flop of 6♠5♥4♠ in a single-raised pot, Keith Pomonis bet 26,000 from middle position before Jared Jaffee check-raised to 83,000. Pomonis then jammed for 314,000 and Jaffee called as the covering stack.
Keith Pomonis: 8♣7♣
Jared Jaffee: 7♥6♥
Pomonis flopped the nut straight while Jaffee had top pair with an open-ender and backdoor flush draw.
The J♦ turn left Jaffee drawing to just a chop, but the 3♦ river secure the full double for Pomonis.
