Riordan Bets Big On the River; Sandretto and More Gone
Level 26
: Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
John Riordan from middle position and Michael Weber from the small blind were tangled in a pot with about 1,200,000 in the middle on the turn with the board reading Q♥8♣4♣7♥. Weber checked to Riordan who was content to do the same.
On the 7♦ river, Weber checked a final time to Riordan who put out a bet of 1,200,000, forcing a fold from Weber.
At another table, Casey Sandretto was all in for his final 705,000 from the cutoff, at risk against Jose Garcia from the big blind.
Casey Sandretto: A♠Q♥
Jose Garcia: Q♠Q♦
Sandretto ran into a premium but held one overcard. However, the 7♠6♥6♦Q♣J♦ runout was no help, and he was eliminated.
Brandon Silberfine and Matthew Ricci have also been eliminated in the last few minutes.
