Rollercoaster Runout Sees Bennett Double
Level 27
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Michael Bennett from the cutoff and Jose Garcia from the button saw a flop of 10♥8♥2♥ with around 1,800,000 in the middle already. Bennett's remaining 2,320,000 found its way into the middle, and he was at risk against the covering stack of Garcia.
Michael Bennett: 10♦10♣
Jose Garcia: J♥J♦
Bennett had outflopped the jacks of Garcia with his set of tens, but Garcia held the only heart. The 5♥ turn vaulted Garcia into the lead with a flush as he pleaded for no board pair.
However, the 2♠ landed on the river, giving Bennett a full house for the winner in a dramatic runout.
