Matthew Adderly Eliminated in 14th Place ($22,018)
Level 33
: Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
John Riordan opened to 1,000,000 in middle position before Matthew Adderly three-bet to 3,000,000 in the cutoff. Riordan then jammed as the slightly covering stack, and Adderly called off his 5,900,000 stack.
Matthew Adderly: Q♦Q♣
John Riordan: A♦K♠
It was the most notorious of coinflips as the A♥ appeared in the window, followed by the 8♠8♣. Adderly could not find a two-outer on the 4♥6♠ runout, and after the stacks were counted down it was confirmed that his tournament came to an end in 14th.
