Adderly Makes the Right Call to Double

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Michael McKiernan from the big blind and Matthew Adderly from under the gun were heads-up to the turn with nearly 1,500,000 in the middle already and board reading 1094Q.

McKiernan led all in for 2,545,000 effective as the covering stack, sending Adderly into the tank. After a while, he called to put himself at risk.

Matthew Adderly: KK All in
Michael McKiernan: QxJx

Adderly made the right call with his overpair, and he held through the 2 river to double.

Smith Doubles Aces Over Kings

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Toby Price limped in middle position before Mikal Smith jammed for 750,000 from the button. Peter Fox called in the big blind and Price folded.

Mikal Smith: AA All in
Peter Fox: KK

It was a cooler scenario but Fox was fortunate that Smith didn't have a larger stack.

The A9552 runout gave Smith a full house to secure the full double through Fox.

Gregory Sessler was eliminated shortly before the hand.

Nelson Accidentally Eliminates Two Players with Eight-Four Offsuit

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Norman Nelson
Norman Nelson

Yang Lu limped in early position off less than two big blinds. In the cutoff, Curtis Phelps jammed for about 1,800,000.

In the big blind, Norman Nelson did not see the jam in front of him, and he announced that he had to put Lu all in. Lu put in his 200,000 total stack, and it was ruled by the floor staff that Nelson must also call Phelps's all in, and the cards hit their backs three-ways.

Yang Lu: Q7 All in
Curtis Phelps: AQ All in
Norman Nelson: 84

A crowd gathered to witness an absurd situation as the A84 flop was a sweaty one, giving Phelps top pair and the nut flush draw, while Nelson flopped bottom two pair.

The board would run out 102, leaving Nelson's two pair best as he eliminated two players in ridiculous fashion.

At another table, Yotam Shmuelov was eliminated after jamming his short stack into Christina Read's pocket kings.

Sandberg's Turn to Double Through Fox

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Evan Sandberg
Evan Sandberg

Peter Fox opened under the gun and Mikal Smith flatted in the small blind. In the big blind, Evan Sandberg jammed for 1,715,000, Fox rejammed, and Smith folded,

Evan Sandberg: QQ All in
Peter Fox: AK

It was the most classic of coinflips as the 1084 flop kept the queens in front. Nothing changed on the 1010 runout as Sandberg improved to a full house to double.

Read Doubles With Big Slick

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Christina Read
Christina Read

Christina Read opened to 275,000 in the hijack before Peter Fox three-bet to 525,000 from the small blind, and Read called.

On the K102 flop, Fox led all in for 1,925,000 effective as the covering stack.

"I don't know if I'm good enough to fold this hand," Read explained as she put in the call after a minute's tank.

Christina Read: AK All in
Peter Fox: 97

Fox flopped a flush draw against the top pair, top kicker of Read. The A turn was safe for Read and the 2 river secured her double-up.

Overkill as Roeder Takes Out Huynh

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Jonathan Roeder opened under the gun before Henry Huynh jammed for about 550,000 from the button, and Roeder called.

Henry Huynh: K10 All in
Jonathan Roeder: A8

The A83 flop left Huynh in terrible shape, and Roeder filled up on the 8 turn to seal. The two saw the meaningless 9 river as Huynh was eliminated in 41st.
