Brikker Chips Up

Level 5 : 150/300, 300 ante
Priit Brikker
Priit Brikker

The action got interesting on the turn with the {9-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} on the board. Priit Brikker bet 2,500 into a pot of around 6,000. Andres Loiv raised to 5,100. Brikker paused for 20 seconds before he three-bet to 8,100.

Loiv went into the tank for a minute, during which time he reached across the table to count his opponent's bet. The dealer confirmed the raise size and Loiv called.

Brikker jammed for about 26,000 after the {6-Clubs} completed the board on the river more than covering the 20,000 his opponent had behind. Loiv waited about 15 seconds before he folded to give Brikker a decent pot without a showdown.

Zatsik Interrupts Hatipoglu's Massage

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante

It's take three for Bahadir Hatipoglu, who has never shown he is afraid to reenter. Hatipoglu bet 7,300 into a pot of around the same after the {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} came on the flop and Dmitri Zatsik jammed for around 30,000.

Tomas Sujeta folded but held onto his cards after Hatipoglu called and flashed the {j-Clubs} to show he folded top pair.

Dmitri Zatsik: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Bahadir Hatipoglu: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Hatipoglu was getting a massage but began to get out of his seat when he saw how behind his queens were to his opponent's kings. Neither the {4-Hearts} on the turn nor the {3-Hearts} on the river was able to help Hatipoglu and after the hand, he headed back to the registration desk to fire his third bullet into the tournament.

Greenbay Chipping Up

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante

Mikael Gronvik, also known simply as Greenbay around poker circles as this is what his last name translates from Swedish to English in, has had a rollercoaster ride early on this tournament. He was down to about half a starting stack and now has nearly double a starting stack.

Gronvik led out for 2,000 in a recent hand that went four-way to the {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop with less than 3,000 in the middle. Jaana Kindsigo folded, Kimmo Matias Kurko called, and the fourth player folded.

Gronvik fired out for 5,000 after the {2-Spades} came on the turn and got a call from Kurko. Greenbay doubled his bet up to 10,000 after the {k-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Kurko paused for 30 seconds before he shook his hand and folded.

Top Pair Good for Gatos

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante

A player bet 1,000 into a pot of 2,200 after the {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs} came on the flop before Bahadir Hatipoglu raised to 3,600. Renta Eline Kris Gatos cold-called and the opening better folded.

Both players checked down after the {6-Clubs} came on the turn and again after the {2-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Hatipoglu looked like he was going to toss his hand away but instead turned over his cards at the last second to show {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}. The dealer awarded Gatos the pot after he showed {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for top pair.
