Around 48,000 was in the middle in a hand between Fabio De Francesco and Anderson Batista, both in middle position, with the flop reading A♦4♥6♠.
De Francesco checked to Batista, who moved all in for around 52,000, with the slightly covering stack. De Francesco went into the tank, and after about three minutes, made the call.
Fabio De Francesco: J♣J♥
Anderson Batista: A♥K♣
De Francesco was drawing to a jack versus Batista's pair of aces, and it did not arrive on the 5♠ turn or 9♣ river.
Marzio Caldara was raking in the pot, having just doubled-up via Kostas Myrianthous, his K♠J♣ beating Myrianthous' A♦7♦ on J♦9♣6♦K♣A♣, Caldara's two pair taking the pot versus his opponent's aces.
Wim Verhaegen opened to 2,500 from the cutoff and Andrea Iannantuoni defended his big blind.
On the J♦5♦3♥ flop, Iannantuoni check-called versus a bet of 1,800 from Verhaegen.
The 4♦ rolled off on the turn, and Iannantuoni changed approach, jamming for 22,500, and receiving a snap call from Verhaegen.
Andrea Iannantuoni: 6♠5♣
Wim Verhaegen: 4♣4♠
Iannantouni had second pair fives with the up and down straight draw, but needed to make the straight to overcome Verhaegen's turned set of fours.
The 2♦ river completed the board to give Iannantuoni the six-high straight and double-up, and he slammed the table in an enthusiastic celebration. Verhaegen barely reacted when the river hit.
