Menegon Puts Paonessa in Blender

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The board read 10A8J10 and around 51,000 was in the pot.

Luca Paonessa had led out with a bet of 20,500, and was met with a three-bet jam by Marco Menegon for 50,000.

Paonessa had 55,000 left behind and the players engaged in about five minutes of good natured chat in Italian, which was unfortunately way beyond PokerNews knowledge of the beautiful language.

Ultimately the clock was called and Paonessa folded, showing A. Menegon showed 10 for the rivered trip tens and Paonessa tapped the table.

Pieruzzini Doubles via Volpi

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Andrea Volpi opened to 6,000 from early position, and was faced with a three-bet jam by Dario Pieruzzini to 34,000 from the cutoff. After asking for a count, Volpi made the quick call.

Dario Pieruzzini: A7 All in
Andrea Volpi: 88

As the cards were turned over Pieruzzini smiled at his opponent, and wagged his finger, as if to say 'you aren't holding'. Volpi had a good chuckle.

The 954 flop was clear for Volpi, as was the 5 turn, however the A rolled off on the river to give Pieruzzini a pair of aces and prove him right.

Both players laughed as the river hit, Pieruzzini saying "I told you", as he raked in the pot.
