Around 1,800,000 was in the middle on a board of 9♠6♥7♣A♦, and Anas Belatik checked to his opponent, Shlomi Malka.

Malka immediately went all-in for 640,000, and Belatik called just as quickly.

Malka had picked an inopportune moment to run a bluff, with his gutshot straight draw running into the made straight of Belatik. The eight Malka required did not arrive on the 4♥ river, and Belatik took down a huge pot.

Mirko Vinelli, Eric Abbas and Carlo Catelani busted shortly afterwards, leaving us with 23 players and the three-table redraw. It has been decided the players will take their dinner break now, rather than at the end of this level.

Natale Polizzotto opened from the cutoff and was called by an opponent, before Vladas Burneikis moved all in for around 435,000. Polizzotto rejammed with the covering stack, and the other player folded.

Polizzotto was ahead with a dominating ace, but the 4♠4♣Q♠ flop spelt danger as his opponent flopped a flush draw. The A♥ turn confirmed Polizzotto's lead, but the K♠ rolled off on the river to give Burneikis the ace-high flush and the double-up.

In the next hand, Polizzotto opened and Burneikis called on the button. On the A♥J♦10♦ flop, Polizzotto check-jammed versus a bet of 100,000 from his opponent, who snap-called.

Polizzotto had flopped the nut straight, but his opponent still had outs with his flush draw. Sure enough the 6♦ rolled off on the turn to give Burneikis the flush and leave Polizzotto drawing dead, with the 5♣ completing the board.

Burneikis celebrated his good fortune enthusiastically, while Polizzotto headed for the cash desk looking fairly disgusted with the turn of events.

At another table, Wei Tsai was also seen exiting the tournament area.

Roberto Armato opened to 50,000 from the hijack and was called by Tomas Patka on the button.

On the K♣Q♠5♥ flop, Armato continued with a bet of 40,000 and Patka called.

Armato slowed down, and check-called a bet of 80,000 from his opponent on the 6♦ turn.

Armato checked once more on the J♦ river. Patka fired out a bet of 300,000 and, after some thought, Armato called. He was shown the bad news when Patka revealed 5♦5♣ for a set of fives, and Armato tapped the table and mucked his hand.
