After a player limped from under the gun, Amnaye Moussakhkhar to his left raised to 600. Jean-François Gaye on the button called, as well as the blinds and the initial raiser.
All five players around the table discovered a flop of 5♥4♦A♣, where Moussakhkhar continued for 2,100. Gaye was the only one to call.
The J♥ came on the turn, and Moussakhkhar fired a second barrel of 3,200. Gaye quickly raised to 40,000, more than Moussakhkhar's stack. He eventually called with the 18,200 chips he had left.
Ludovic Periaux opened to 600 from middle position, and he was called by the player to his left. In the cutoff, Mathieu Di Meglio three-bet to 3,100, but Gheorghe Fedorca on the button four-bet to 7,700.
All the other players folded to Di Meglio, who moved all-in for 23,500. Fedorca snap-called.
Mathieu Di Meglio: A♣K♥
Gheorghe Fedorca: Q♦Q♥
The dealer fanned a board of 10♣4♣3♥6♦2♦, where Fedorca kept the lead until the end to send Di Meglio to the rail.
A three-way all-in and call situation occurred on Table 245 with Benjamin Souriau in the big blind at risk for 24,500, Franck Jacon in the cutoff all-in as well for 30,500 more, and David Spir in early position with the biggest stack.
Benjamin Souriau: 8♥8♣
Franck Jacon: A♥K♦
David Spir: A♦Q♦
Even if he had the shortest stack, Souriau was in the lead. The board of 7♥10♣3♣6♠9♣ even gave him a straight, so he tripled up while Jacon won the side pot.
Cards went on their backs on Table 244, with Mengshi Tian in the cutoff at risk for 140,000 (almost 100 big blinds) against Tobias Peters in the blinds.
Mengshi Tian: J♥J♣
Tobias Peters: A♦K♣
The winner of this hand would become the new chipleader and perhaps the end-of-the-day chipleader.
After a flop of 9♥4♥4♦, Tian was still on his way to double up. However, Peters hit a pair with the K♦, taking the lead and winning this massive pot after the 10♥ river.
Less than an hour after the end of Day 1a, Day 1b Turbo of the €1,200 WSOP-C Paris Main Event came to an end here at Stade Jean-Bouin Paris.
As late registration was still open in Day 1a and will remain open until the end of Level 12 on Day 2, Day 1b was not very busy, with 57 entries recorded. However, as quality is worth more than quantity, a few notable players participated in the second flight of the tournament.
WSOP bracelet winner Tobias Peters was one of them, and he ended the day as the chip leader. He won a massive flip in the last level of the day to secure a 349,500 chip-stack. He filled his bag with almost 100,000 chips more than Luca Bensimon (257,500) and David Spir (245,500), who are second and third in chips tonight.
