Bounous and Maouad Split with a Straight

Cards went on their backs on a board of JKQ10. After Kevin Maouad raised to 8,200 from the hijack and was called by Pascal Peraldi in the cutoff, Mathias Bounous in the big blind moved all-in. Maouad called and made Peraldi fold 1010 face up.

"I knew it," Peraldi said as the J landed on the river. Bounous and Maouad both had a straight so they split the pot.

Derossi Catches a Bluff to Score an Elimination

More than three minutes after the start of the break, Rémi Derossi in the big blind was still struggling to make a decision.

On a board of 664AA with 37,700 in the pot, Derossi bet 2,000, but Lucas Pignay in early position moved all-in for 23,900.

“Quads?” Derossi asked at first. After another minute, he called with 65 for a full house and caught Pignay bluffing with KJ.

“He’s the second guy I catch bluffing and eliminate today,” Derossi said before enjoying his break.

Mameche Takes From Sfez

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Eric Sfez opened from under the gun but Slimane Mameche in middle position three-bet to 3,700. All the other players folded to Sfez who called.

Both players quickly checked a flop of 399 leading to the 8 turn that Sfez checked. Mameche bet 3,000 and was called.

The J completed the board and after Sfez checked, Mameche asked for 10,000. Sfez counted his stack and folded.
