Welcome to Day 2 of the 2023 The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC) Liechtenstein CHF 300 ($332) Main Event. Over the course of six starting flights, 489 entries have been made at Grand Casino Liechtenstein. Out of them, only 118 people bagged their chips for Day 2. However, one more starting flight is taking place at the time of writing, being the turbo-structured Day 1g. With late registration closed, the clock counts a total of 107 entries, thus making the complete tally for the entire Main event stand at 596 entries.

The current chip leader is Arjan van Bavel from the Netherlands. He decimated the competition on the starting flight of Day 1e, bagging an impressive 915,000 chips, or over 150 big blinds when play resumes. The chip leader of the very first flight Day 1a, meanwhile, sits in second with about one and a half times fewer chips than Van Bavel. Switzerland's Daniel Schwitter gathered 585,000 chips that day, good for nearly 100 big blinds. Day 1b's chip leader "Johnylero", finally, rounds out the top three as they were the last player to bag over 500,000 chips, bringing 575,000 chips into Day 2.

Meanwhile, Day 1d's and Day 1f's chip leaders Silas Germann (478,000) and Bruno Keller (473,000) round out the top 5. Bear in mind, however, that the leaderboard might still change as Day 1g has not yet reached its completion at the time of writing.

The guaranteed prize pool stood at CHF 200,000, and that has not been hit. Thus, some extra overlay value is in store for all the grinders still in contention. The exact payouts will be announced somewhere during Day 2, but the expectation is that around 15% of the total field will be in the money. The bubble is guaranteed to burst today as the plan is to play down to a final table of eight people. Thus, it looks like a long day is ahead for our remaining competitors.

Day 2 will start at 4 p.m. local time with the blinds at 3,000/6,000, with a 6,000 big blind ante. The duration of the levels has been prolonged to 45 minutes, from the 30-minute levels that were the norm on Day 1's. As mentioned, the field is scheduled to play down to the final eight players, at which point they will bag for their return at 6 p.m. on June 5th for Day 3. The final table is set to be live streamed, creating an extra incentive for the players to make it that far.

PokerNews will, as always, provide the key hands and other important updates straight from the tournament floor. So stay tuned to catch all of the action here on Day 2 of the THMC Liechtenstein Main Event.
