Day 1de Completed
Days 1d and 1e of the Main Event of the Hendon Mob Winter Championships have concluded here at the Grand Casino, Liechtenstein, with 20 players surviving from a total of 110 entries.
Hermann Schweiger led the way from Day 1d (785,000), while Christian Roberts topped the chip counts for Day 1e, both of whom remain some way behind overall chip leader Nicola Diaco (1,045,000).
Roberts steadily accumulated chips throughout the day, gaining real momentum when he busted Zoran Stojanovic, and leveraged his stack well to put pressure on his opponents towards the end of the day with the finishing line in sight.
Stojanovic opted to reenter and managed to spin up a sizeable stack to sit fourth in the Day 1e standings.
Players such as Yves Thalmann, Stipe Orec and Ramon Bartmettler did not quite manage to find a bag for Day 2, but still have plenty of opportunities to do so in the remaining Day 1 flights.
Days 1f and 1g are due to take place at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time on Saturday, February 3, following the same structure as previous flights.
Day 1h, the final flight, is a turbo flight and will take place at noon on Sunday, February 4 featuring 15-minute blind levels, but otherwise following the same structure as previous flights. Days 2 and 3 will feature 45-minute levels.
