Ducks Fade the Spades for Jones

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

The flop read {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} and the pot was around 14,000. Michael Swimelar 2,000, Vladimir Munoz called and Uriah Jones then made it 7,500 to go. Swimelar shoved for just under 24,000 and Munoz quickly folded to Jones who called.

Michael Swimelar: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Uriah Jones: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Jones was ahead with his set of ducks but needed to fade the flush draw for a scoop. The dealer then burned and turned a hand-ending {5-Hearts} that gave Jones a boat.

Swimelar was then drawing dead to the {7-Clubs} river, shipping his stack over to Jones who is back over the six-figure mark.

Cosentino Extracts from Chivukula

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Venkat Chivukula limped and Matthew Cosentino then raised to 6,000 from the big blind. Chivukula called and the dealers fanned out the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop.

Cosentino threw in 7,000 and Chivukula called. The dealer burned and turned an {a-Spades}, Cosentino tapped. A bet of 13,000 came from Chivukula and Cosentino check-called.

Both players tapped the {q-Diamonds} river and Cosentino showed {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a turned bullet. Chivukula shook his head as he threw his cards into the muck, shipping the pot to Cosentino.

Wells Continues Heater into the Break

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

The turned board read {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Raul Garza had 12,000 in front of him as a bet. Cody Wells had moved all in, and David Mzareulov called for less.

Garza folded and Wells showed {k-Spades}{j-Spades} for top pair with a flush draw. Mzareulov turned over {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, giving him a smaller part and a club draw.

The {7-Diamonds} bricked out the river, missing both and Wells took down the hand to send Mzareulov out the door.

Coming in as the last registrant of the field is the one and only Doug Polk. He came in and instantly jumped into the action, having the better part of his stack depart in a three-way pot.

Adam Garcia opened to 2,200, and both Cody Wells and Trey Valkenaar called. Doug Polk then three-bet shoved for 21,900 from the button and Raul Garza called in his stack for less, having just 19,100 in the small blind.

Michael Tillman was in the big blind and elected to put his 9,100 into the middle as well. Garcia, Wells, and Valkenaar all folded, leaving just three for a runout, with Polk having a chance to drop two.

Michael Tillman: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Raul Garza: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Doug Polk: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The dealer spread out {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, hitting Garza with a bullet to take the lead, and the {3-Clubs} turn changed not a thing. Polk and Tillman needed some love but the {7-Clubs} river missed them, sending Tillman to the rail, and Polk was left short.

On the next hand, Polk put in the rest of his stack in the cutoff and Qing Lu called from the big blind. Lu tabled {q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Polk showed his {5-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The board came down {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Lu took down the hand with her two pair. Polk was sent to the rail shortly after jumping into the Day 1c flight.
