The Lodge Championship Series has just had the Day 1e flight come to an end in Event 8: $1,600 Mystery Bounty 1 Million Guaranteed after 11 hours of play here in Round Rock, Texas. A total of 76 runners came through the doors, having just 10 bag up for the second day of this tournament.

Leading the way is Canada's Elliot Smith who piled his 756,500 stack into a Day 2 bag. Smith seemed to be on a constant grind until the last three tables. He picked up ace-king against Caleb Shumard who had pocket kings and managed to spike an ace to catapult into the lead.

Closest to the Canadian is Christopher Adams who was sitting in front until the final two tables started to deplete. Adams was on a steady climb throughout the night that saw him take the lead of the fight after he won two flips, eliminating an opponent in each. He is currently fourth overall in the chips counts headed into Day 2 with 555,500.

Felix Weis seemed to be running with few hurdles to surpass during the day, but Jesse Solano then became one. The turned board was king-high when Weis moved his chips into the middle holding big slick. Solano called with king-ten and caught a fortuitous ten on the river. Weis was left short but overcame it, finishing the night with 311,000 which was good for third on the leaderboard.

Chad Fullmer ended the day in a cooler of a hand, having a pair of aces versus the cowboys of Cary Douglass. An ace binked the flop, making Douglass the Day 2 bubble. Fullmer advanced with 289,000 headed into his bag by night's end.

Everyone on the final day will be guaranteed at least a min-cash and will have bounties in play, having every knockout earn a bounty chip that can be redeemed for a shot at the $100,000 top prize.

Blinds on Day 2 will bump up to 60-minutes in length and as of now, will begin at 2,500/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante. The prize pool, payouts, and seating chart will be posted prior to the start of play. The day will not halt until a winner's photo has been taken, claiming victory in Event 6.

Adams Takes a Flip Late on Day 1e

Level 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Cody Wells
Cody Wells

Cody Wells shoved for just under 100,000 and Christopher Adams called for a runout.

Cody Wells: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Christopher Adams: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The flop fell {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, missing Wells who needed to hit or he was going to be taking a walk. A {5-Diamonds} turn and {2-Diamonds} river changed not a thing.

Wells was eliminated late in the day and Adams added another nice pot to his stack.

Jaimes Dodges Rocks, Eliminates Seber

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Agustin Jaimes

Billy Seber limped and Daniel Allen bumped it up to 3,000. Agustin Jaimes called and Sever stuck around as well to see the {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. Seber put in his last 14,200, Allen dipped and Jaimes called.

Billy Seber: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Agustin Jaimes: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}

Jaimes' set was in front but Seber could smack a diamond or runner-runner to keep his day going. The {3-Hearts} turn and {2-Hearts} river were of no help for Seber, sending him out the door. Jaimes scooped in the pot on what has been a steady climb for him throughout the flight.
