Bauer Takes More From Shing

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Alain Bauer
Alain Bauer

Shortly before dinner, Alain Bauer took a decent pot from Philip Shing to overtake the chip lead and after dinner they were jousting again as action was picked up on the river with the board reading {6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

From the big blind, Bauer bet 200,000 into a pot of around 300,000. Shing was in the cutoff and thought for a while before trickling down the chips for the call as Bauer tabled the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} monster, while Shing was in the middle of calling as he knew those chips would not be coming back to him after the hand.

Shing Makes Porbandarwala Vanish in a Flash

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Soheb Porbandarwala
Soheb Porbandarwala

Action was on the flop as it read {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. From the cutoff, Soheb Porbandarwala bet 30,000, Philip Shing clicked it back from middle position for 60,000 and got called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}. Shing bet 35,000. Porbandarwala thought for quite a while before he shoved all in and Shing snap-called and tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Porbandarwala flew out of the room as he walked as fast as he could away from the table after seeing the aces as he had tabled the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. The river was dealt the {6-Spades} long after Porbandarwala was gone and he was felted just like that as Shing enveloped even more chips into his massive stack.
