Tran Busts Another Short Stack With Pocket Queens

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Preflop action saw Chaim Appel open to 2,600. Micahel Rossitto moved all in for his remaining 18,700. Tony Tran shoved his much bigger stack and had all players covered. Appel decided to fold.

Rossitto showed his {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} while Tran had the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

Rossitto hit a pair of tens on the flop but couldn't improved further as Tran gobbled up his stack.

Bagheri Wins Battle of the Blinds with Cowboys

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Mohammad Bagheri
Mohammad Bagheri

Action picked up with Mohammad Bagheri going all in from the big blind for 33,300. Christopher Nabors, already with chips in the middle, quickly called the bet and both players' cards were flipped over.

Nabors showed the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for a monster in the small blind. Unfortunately for him, a bigger monster was in Bagheri's hand as he showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

Nabors asked for an ace as the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} and left him passing a chunk of chips over the Bagheri.

Brunette Brings His Queens to an All In Party

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Brunette had opened under the gun when Chaim Appel three-bet him to 5,000. Daniel Pearlman bet nearly all of his stack when he pushed 25,000 over the line.

"Gamble," muttered Brunette as he shoved about 30,000 effective with Appel left to make a decision for all his chips.

"Can I phone a friend?" asked Appel. No lifelines left, Appel decided to fold.

"How can you fold?" said Pearlman, who showed his {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Brunette flipped over his {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} to show Pearlman the bad news.

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Brunette's queens held up to bust Pearlman.

Aden Calls His Shot in Three-Way All In

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Jason Aden
Jason Aden

The under the gun player opened to 1,600 and Jason Aden three-bet to 3,800. Hong Bui bumped up the action when he moved all in for 17,500. Trey Valkenaar saw a chance to build his short stack and also went all in for 17,700. Under the gun folded and action was back on Aden who eventually called in an attempt to bust two other players.

Bui flipped up the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and celebrated early when he saw he had his opponents in rough shape. Valkenaar flipped up the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Aden had the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

"Oh no, give me some hearts," said Aden. The flop came {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and had Bui looking poised to more than triple up.

"One heart, backdoor draw," announced Aden. The {10-Hearts} heard him and obliged.

"Two hearts! And a flush draw!" he exclaimed. The river landed the {9-Hearts} and Aden's magic ended both Bui's and Valkenaar's tournament bullets.

Tran Wins the All In With a Dominating Hand

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Benjamin Moschel shoved from middle position with his short stack of 11,300. Tony Tran flicked in one chip for the call from the hijack and the rest of the table folded quickly.

The flop ran out {q-}{8-}{2-} giving Moschel a few more outs.

"Okay, nine or a jack. That way if it comes, it was me that called for it," said Tran.

Despite the less-than-genuine support from Tran, Moschel couldn't hit his outs and was left chipless while Tran raked the pot.

Mohammed Stirs Up the Action Against Brewer

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Mohammad Bagheri
Mohammad Bagheri

Scott Brewer opened with an all in jam of 6,400 from the button. It immediately failed to get through as Christopher Nabors made the call from the small blind. Even worse for Brewer, Mohammed Bagheri moved all in for 35,000 effective and had both players covered. Nabors eventually decided to let his hand go and the other two took a flop heads up with Brewer at risk.

Brewer showed the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Bagheri had the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and the fate of the coin flip was in the cards.

The dealer rolled out the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Brewer's eights were still in the lead, but Mohammed had picked up a gutshot.

Brewer did take that shot to the gut when the {j-Spades} hit the turn leaving him drawing dead. The {k-Spades} on the river finished the hand and Brewer's stack.

Shaw's Flopped Set Ousts Pocket Jacks

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Luke Shaw
Luke Shaw

Action started on the flop with the board reading {4-}{7-}{9-}. Luke Shaw moved all in over Steven Rivera's flop bet. Rivera thought for not too long before committing the rest of his stack in the amount of 23,000.

Shaw showed that he flopped three fours when he showed {4-}{4-}. Rivera couldn't get away from his overpair of {j-}{j-}.

"No jack!" said Shaw as the dealer ran out the rest of the board.

The turn {6-} and {8-} were no help to RIvera who proved that there's no right way to play pocket jacks.
