The second day of the first-ever standalone The Lord Poker Tournament (TLPT) awaits at the Jeju Shinhwa World Hotel on Jeju Island and the five-star complex with multiple luxurious resorts and a theme park has become one of the hottest destinations for live poker in the Asia-Pacific region throughout the last few years.

In cooperation with AAPoker, TLPT has teamed up to host their first live festival without joining any other brands like they have in the past and they have certainly made a statement with US$8 million in overall guarantees throughout the one and a half weeks at Landing Casino. Among the tournaments geared towards the more recreational players is the so called Circuit Series and Event #2 Circuit Series Main Event comes with a juicy guaranteed prize pool of US$700,000.

Two of the four starting flights have already been completed and the final two heats today kick off at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time respectively. Day 1a attracted a total of 69 entries and four players advanced whereas the second flight saw 45 entries with five players bagging up the following stacks.

This event uses different buy-ins and in-the-money thresholds for each of the four starting days. Today's updates will focus on Day 1c, which is scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m. with a buy-in of US$750. Accordingly, the top 7.5% of the field are set to advance, locking up a min-cash of two times their buy-in and returning tomorrow for the penultimate tournament day.

Later in the evening, the most expensive heat kicks off with a price tag of US$2,000 and the top 20% finishers will go through. For both heats, the late registration and unlimited re-entry period is available for the first nine levels. However, the duration of the levels itself does differ as 1c has 20-minute levels whereas the evening heat will last twice as long.
