Level 29 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
James Mendoza
James Mendoza

Stephen Song shoved on the button and James Mendoza called all in for his last 2,500,000 in the big blind.

James Mendoza: KQAll in
Stephen Song: J3

Mendoza was in good shape to double up, and remained that way on the 372 flop as well as the 7 turn.

However, it turned out to just be Song's day, as the J river paired his jack on the end to eliminate Mendoza and put an end to the tournament in dramatic fashion.

Marius Gierse
Marius Gierse

Marius Gierse opened to 600,000 on the button and Stephen Song three-bet to 2,000,000 from the small blind. James Mendoza then cold four-bet to 5,500,000 in the big blind with AK and Gierse shoved for 8,800,000 total.

Song also went all in for more, which got Mendoza to lay his ace-king down and a showdown was held.

Marius Gierse: AKAll in
Stephen Song: JJ

Song was well ahead, given that Mendoza folded some of Gierse's outs, and the board ran out 3102Q6 — leaving Song's jacks best to eliminate Gierse in third place.

Level 28 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Martin Nielsen
Martin Nielsen

Stephen Song opened to 600,000 on the button and Martin Nielsen called in the big blind.

Nielsen checked to Song, who continued for 400,000 on the 8103 flop. Nielsen responded with a check-raise to 1,000,000 and Song called.

Nielsen kept his foot on the gas for a 500,000 bet on the 8 turn and Song again called.

The 5 completed the board and Nielsen shoved for his last 3,000,000. Song snap-called and turned over K8 for trip eights.

Nielsen could only show 76 for a failed bluff attempt and was sent to the rail in fourth place.

Patrik Demus Eliminated in 5th Place ($170,000)

Level 28 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Patrik Demus
Patrik Demus

James Mendoza opened to 600,000 from under the gun and Patrik Demus three-bet to 2,500,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back to Mendoza, who shoved, and Demus called all in for 5,700,000 total.

Patrik Demus: 88All in
James Mendoza: JJ

It was bad timing from Demus, who would need some help against Mendoza's jacks.

It wasn't meant to be, however, as the Q69JQ runout needlessly improved Mendoza to a full house to eliminate Demus in fifth place.

Ivan Zhang
Ivan Zhang

Stephen Song raised to 600,000 in the cutoff and Ivan Zhang piled all in for 3,700,000 from the big blind. Song didn't hesitate before calling and Zhang was at risk.

Ivan Zhang: K2All in
Stephen Song: AJ

The flop fell J85 and Song picked up a pair of jacks to extend his lead. The 6 on the turn also gave Song the best flush draw, leaving Zhang down to just two outs.

"King!" Zhang could be heard shouting. The river was the 2 which was not enough to keep Zhang's tournament hopes alive.

Huawei Lin
Huawei Lin

Action folded to the blinds, where Stephen Song raised to 2,200,000 from the small. Huawei Lin just called from the big blind, leaving herself 125,000 behind.

Song checked to Lin, who went all in on the A54 flop. Song called to put her at risk and hands were turned face up.

Huawei Lin: Q6All in
Stephen Song: 109

Neither player had a pair, but Lin was ahead with her queen.

The A turn was safe for Lin, but the 9 river paired Song to end Lin's run in heart-breaking fashion.

Jiaming Zhao
Jiaming Zhao

Jiaming Zhao shoved for 2,700,000 from the hijack and James Mendoza also went all in from the small blind. Everyone else folded and the board was run.

Jiaming Zhao: QJAll in
James Mendoza: AK

Zhao found himself dominated and remained behind on the 494 flop.

The 2 turn gave him additional outs to a flush, but the 8 river bricked out and the once chip leader was forced to settle for an eighth place finish.

Mendoza, on the other hand, has made an epic comeback after being on the brink of elimination and currently sits with 7,800,000.

Haitao Lei
Haitao Lei

Ivan Zhang opened to 500,000 in early position with AJ and Patrik Demus made it 1,300,000 on his left. Haitao Lei was in the big blind and ripped all in for 3,000,000. Zhang quickly folded and Demus called just as fast.

Haitao Lei: AQAll in
Patrik Demus: QQ

The flop came J86 and Demus was still way out front with one of Lei's outs already in the muck. The 8 on the turn and the 4 on the river were also no help to Lei who became the first player eliminated at the final table.

Bin Leng Eliminated in 10th Place ($62,000)

Level 25 : Blinds 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Bin Leng
Bin Leng

Marius Gierse raised to 300,000 in the cutoff with K6 and Bin Leng three-bet shoved all in for 1,300,000 on the button. Martin Nielsen woke up with a premium in the big blind and reshoved all in for 1,600,000, forcing Gierse out of the hand.

Bin Leng: KQAll in
Martin Nielsen: JJ

It turned out to be a coin flip between the two short stacks but it was Leng who was at risk. The flop fell 982 and Nielsen remained out front with his pair of jacks. The 2 on the turn gave Leng the best flush draw but the J on the river improved Nielsen to a full house.

Leng was eliminated in 10th place, leaving the final nine players to gather at the final table. They will be taking a 40-minute production break and players will have a chance to grab some dinner before the final table commences.
