Clash Between Song and Tong Goes Wrong

Level 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Stephen Song
Stephen Song

Stephen Song raised the button and Xin Tong three-bet out of the small blind with two T-25,000 chips out in front. Sean Ooi then four-bet to 100,000 from the big blind only for Song to five-bet to 180,000 with some chips behind. Tong went into the tank and used several time banks before moving all-in for around 350,000 and Ooi folded, while Song called.

Stephen Song: KK All in
Xin Tong: 99

"What did you have, like ace-queen suited?" Song asked Ooi and Tong firmly pointed to one of her nines. The QJ9 flop provided the help, and she held on the 2 turn as well as Q river to eliminate. Haohui Ma glanced over from the next table and asked Ooi what he had folded, who replied "ace jack".

Dan Cates

Daniel Cates raised it up from the cutoff and Dominik Nitsche stuck in a three-bet on the button. The action was back on Cates who made a four-bet and the two players quickly had all of their chips in the middle with Cates being at risk for around 350,000.

Dominik Nitsche: 1010

It turned out to be a coin flip and the flop of 844 favored Nitsche with the pocket pair. The 7 and 9 runout changed nothing and Cates left the tournament area.

Level 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Some late re-entries have boosted the field to 115 entries and some 65 players currently remain at the start of the final level for tonight. Christopher Park was among the latest players to bust, re-enter and get assigned the same seat randomly.

On his former stream table, Yuzhu Wang saw his stack vanish with ace-deuce against the 99 of Marius Gierse on a board of 643106 and he quickly exited the stage.
