Wazwaz Gets Some Vengeance

We found Chad Holloway contemplating a bet of 8,975 from Rob Wazwaz, whose second entry had resulted in a seat to Holloway's direct left. Holloway made the call on the {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board, and the river brought the {8-Diamonds}. Holloway checked, and Wazwaz took considerable time before pushing out a tiny bet of 5,875. Holloway snap-folded though, and Wazwaz shot him a surprised look before dragging the pot.

Reichard's Squeezing Ways Fail

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Seeing a raise to 625 and a few calls, Josh Reichard made it 3,200 to go from the big blind. He was called in two spots.

"I see you get a lot of respect around here," Mark Kroon quipped.

The flop came monotone: {2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. A player in the small blind checked, and Reichard bet 4,300. The cutoff folded, but the small blind made it 9,600. Reichard mucked after some thought.

The next hand, someone made it 800 to go and was called by one player before Reichard three-bet to 4,000. The opener made it 8,000 to go, the caller ducked out of the way, and Reichard folded once more.

Despite the early hole, Reichard remains a player to look out for, as he took this event down in November 2013 for $78,003.

Holloway Up to 70,000

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

We found Chad Holloway with 3,300 in front of him in the big blind on a board of {k-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. A player under the gun had put 25,000 in, forcing the cutoff, who was also in the pot, out. Holloway thought it over for awhile.

"I wish I wouldn't have raised," he said, counting down his remaining stack of about 14,000. Finally, he called it off.

Under the gun: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Holloway: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The cutoff expressed disgust, saying he had mucked two pair. Holloway called for a five or seven for a chop, but he instead binked the {3-Clubs} for a winning flush.

A few hands later, Holloway sent Rob Wazwaz packing in a hand we didn't see.

Zupancich Pushes Back

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player bet 1,100 from the big blind after a {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop and was called by both Brian Zupancich and Adam Lamphere. On the {6-Hearts} turn, Zupancich bet 2,100 after a check and Lamphere raised to 5,000. The third player folded, and Zupancich pushed all in. Lamphere quickly mucked.

Mirza Makes a Draw Work

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Anselmo Villareal bet 1,000 from the small blind on a {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop. The coordinated board didn't scare anyone off, as two players called before Jason Mirza, last to act, made it 3,675. Everyone came along, and a {q-Clubs} prompted four checks. On the {a-Spades} river, action checked to Mirza, who bet 5,550. Villareal quickly folded, as did the big blind, but the last player decided to look Mirza up.

Mirza tabled {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a flush.
