"You Bluffed Me Two Years Ago"

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

We found Sam De Silva tanking against an all-in wager of 19,350 from an opponent on a {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop. De Silva thought for a couple of minutes and tossed in a call.

De Silva: {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

De Silva was far in front, and the {9-Clubs} and {j-Hearts} run out cemented it for him.

"You know why I called you?" De Silva said. "You bluffed me two years ago."

His opponent protested that she thought she had flopped a set of twos and hadn't known she was bluffing.

Lamphere Goes Runner-Runner to Bust Midena

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Tom Midena is on his last bullet.
Tom Midena is on his last bullet.

Tom Midena was all in with a very short stack when we arrived at Table 15, but he was ahead with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} against the {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} of Adam Lamphere. The dealer spread a flop of {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

"Good flop for you," Lamphere said.

A {2-Clubs} was bad on the turn though, as it gave Lamphere a straight draw, which he hit on the {3-Hearts} river.

Midena headed for the reentry desk to fire his last allotted bullet.

Lucky River for Bronk

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jason Meyer check-called 2,600 from Drake Bronk after a {7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} flop, and both players checked the {k-Diamonds}. Meyer bet out 4,000 on the {10-Diamonds} river, and Bronk made it 13,000. Meyer called, and Bronk rolled over {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} to take the pot with a rivered full house.

Brutal Flop for Belland

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

In a three-bet pot after a flop of {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Spades}, Erich Ponath checked from early position to three-bettor Steve Belland, who bet 5,000 from late position. Ponath slid all of his large-denomination chips forward, and Belland took a deep breath and announced all in for about 22,000. Ponath called the extra few thousand.

Ponath: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Belland: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Another player said he folded a queen, so Ponath had flopped the case two queens, and Belland couldn't find his one-outer on the {6-Spades} turn or {9-Hearts} river.

Olson Calls Off

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Jonathan Olson called and lost.
Jonathan Olson called and lost.

Gary Tsui bet 1,800 from the big blind on a board of {j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, and Peter Ruszkiewicz made it 7,000 to go from the cutoff. Jonathan Olson cold-called in the small blind, and Tsui mucked. The {4-Clubs} completed the board, and Olson checked. Ruszkiewicz immediately announced all in, and Olson went into the tank.

"Ace-five?" he asked. "King-queen would be sick..."

He made the call, and sickness it was as Ruszkiewicz flipped {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for a straight.
