Green Stubbs His Toe

Toby Stubbs
Toby Stubbs

With around 7,000 in the pot and a board reading {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}, Toby Stubbs managed to get his stack of 18,425 all in and was up against Madison's Jon Green.

Stubbs: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Green: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

"Don't do it to me," Stubbs told the dealer. Green was looking for a spade to make a flush, but it wasn't in the cards as the river blanked to give Stubbs the double.

Double Elimination for "P0ker H0"

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

In the last hand of Level 5, the jovial Mark "P0ker H0" Kroon won a big pot that sent two disappointed players to the rail. We missed all the details, but we did catch a few. What we do know is a short-stacked player got all in preflop and was up against Kroon and another player. The latter two ended up getting all in on the {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop, and the cards were turned up.

Shortest Stack: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Middle Stack: {10-}{10-}
Kroon: {9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Kroon had flopped trips, and both his opponents were clearly upset. Neither the {7-Clubs} turn nor {6-Clubs} river changed a thing, and Kroon scored the double elimination.

Greenagel Ousted

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Judd Greenagel was recently eliminated from the tournament, and he was kind enough to share some details.

According to him, he shoved his short stack all in under the gun holding {10-}{10-}. MSPT Team Pro Kou Vang made the call with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, and then a third player moved all in over the top for 8,350 more with {j-}{j-}. The {10-}{j-}{7-} flop gave both Greenagel and the other shover a set, while Vang held a gutshot straight draw. Unfortunately for Greenagel and Vang, the turn and river bricked and the third player took down the pot.

Big Slick Does the Trick for Green

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

With around 5,000 in the pot and a board reading {6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}, Jim Boone checked from the big blind and Jon Green bet 2,800 from early position. Boone made the call and then checked for a second time when the {10-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Green checked behind and tabled the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, which bested the {a-Spades}{7-Spades} of Boone.
