The Mid-States Poker Tour took one week off but a busy late-summer schedule continues with MSPT Potawatomi Casino, the second stop for the tour in Milwaukee this year. Historically, this has been one of the most successful stops for the MSPT, drawing huge numbers.
When MSPT came here in the spring, 635 runners turned out, the largest field the tour has drawn outside of Las Vegas. After a long grind, Jason MIrza topped the record field and claimed more than $147,000 in prize money. Plenty of notable tournament grinders will undoubtedly show up to chase such a juicy prize pool.
They'll be playing under Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler's patented structure, which calls for 40-minute levels and blinds beginning at 50/100. Each player will start with 20,000 and be allowed one reentry per starting day. The schedule calls for 14 levels here on Day 1a, which is set for the usual 4 p.m. kickoff.
