Min Doubles Through Bohn

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jason Min open-jammed under the gun for 31,000 and Blake Bohn called from the hijack.

Jason Min: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Blake Bohn: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Min had Bohn crushed and hit the {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} flop but it also gave Bohn a broadway draw.

The turn came the {j-Diamonds} pairing Bohn as he now needed any jack or non-diamond king to win the hand.

Luckily for Min the river drooped the {8-Clubs} giving him the double up.

Phan Extracts Value

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action on the table folded around to the button player who opened for 5,500 and Ryan Phan called from the small blind along with Tony Hartmann from the big.

The flop fell {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Spades} and Phan checked to Hartmann who bet 2,200. The button player called along with Phan and the dealer turned the {a-Diamonds} which was checked around to the {5-Diamonds} river.

Phan lead out for 5,000 and Hartmann mucked his hand while the button player called. Phan tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a pair of kings and it was good enough to win the pot.

"Farmer Phil" Sets Up Taleb

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Phil Mader
Phil Mader

After Jeff Maas limped from early position, MSPT Grand Falls champ Ahmed Taleb raised to 4,500 next to act. Nebraska farmer Phil Mader, who was next in line, then three-bet to 15,000. Action folded back to Maas, who folded, and then Taleb called to see a {3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

Both Taleb and Mader checked and the dealer burned and turned the {j-Spades}. Taleb led out for 13,000 and Mader paused for a few beats before making the call.

When the {a-Spades} completed the board on the river, Taleb returned to checking and Mader thought for a bit before sliding out a bet of 40,000. Taleb asked for a count, cut out chips of his own, and called.

Mader rolled over the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for a flopped set of kings and Taleb just shook his head as he sent his hand to the muck.

Vang Continues to Build

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

There was heads-up action post-flop between Kou Vang from late position and Eric Eelkema from the big blind.

There was over 20,000 already in the middle with a {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} board showing and Eelkema check-called Vang's 15,400 bet.

The {a-Hearts} fell on the river and was checked by both players as Eelkema tabled {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines but it was no good as Vang showed {k-Spades}{j-Spades} to scoop the pot.
