Fisher Sends Whittington To the Rail

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Todd Fisher
Todd Fisher

There appeared to be just shy of 20,000 in the pot with four-way action on a board of {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Blake Whittington checked in early position and Todd Fisher checked behind him in middle position. Jodene Jensen bet 3,200 in the hijack and was called by Jeff Maas, who was on the button to put action back onto Whittington, who check-raised all in. Fisher then reraised all in over the top, getting two quick folds from Jensen and Maas for hands to be tabled.

Blake Whittington: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Todd Fisher: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Whittington had a chance to more than double with two overcards and a flush draw, but Fisher's pocket nines held as the turn {9-Diamonds} and river {5-Clubs} left the situation unchanged and sent Whittington to the rail en route to Fisher amassing a six-figure stack.

Loeffler Gets River Value

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

There was around 24,000 in the middle on a board of {8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Gary Loeffler was in the process of throwing out a bet of 15,000 from the small blind. His opponent was in early position and thought about his decision for close to three minutes with calling chips set out in front of him before he pushed the chips forward to look up Loeffler.

Loeffler's opponent was not happy to see the news, as Loeffler tabled {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a flopped set of deuces to earn him the pot and bring him up to 84000.

Jensen Doubles, Leaves Prasanna on Fumes

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jodene Jensen
Jodene Jensen

Swami Prasanna opened to 3,000 in early position and saw Jodene Jensen three-bet all in from the hijack. Action made its way back to Prasanna and he asked for a count, which was totaled to be 18,300.

"Okay," he said and made the call.

Jodene Jensen: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Swami Prasanna: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

"Every time, you have a big ace," said Prasanna as he saw what he was up against. The flop {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} all but sealed the deal for Jensen.

"Every time, you have a big ace," repeated Prasanna as he now found himself needing to hit running tens to win the pot. The turn {9-Diamonds} left him drawing dead and the river {5-Clubs} completed the runout, leaving him with just 1,600 as Jensen shipped the double.

Santamaria Spikes a Dub

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Norberto Santamaria
Norberto Santamaria

Jonathan Kim pumped it up to 3,500 in early position and was called by Norberto Santamaria in the cutoff. The big blind three-bet to 13,000 and Kim quickly called. Santamaria then four-bet all in and the big blind five-bet all in over the top, effectively putting Kim to a decision for the rest of his chips.

"It's about a hundred," said the big blind as Kim was in the tank.

"I know that!" said Kim with a chuckle. Moments later, he sent his cards to the muck and sent the remaining two players off to the races.

Norberto Santamaria: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Big Blind: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Santamaria was behind and stayed there on the flop {7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Spades} but found the help he needed on the turn {a-Hearts}. The river {10-Clubs} was safe and his stack was counted out to be 34,300, which the big blind matched and the dealer sent his way.

Ebanks' Turn To Rip It

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Joe Ebanks
Joe Ebanks

Joe Ebanks and Ben Larson were heads up on the turn with a board reading {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Ebanks had a bet of 6,000 out in front of him in early position. Larson was on his direct left in middle position and put in a raise to 14,000, sending Ebanks into the tank for about two minutes before he settled on his decision.

"All in," said Ebanks. Larson quickly folded and Ebanks' turn shove won him the pot.
