Day 1b of the $1,110 MSPT Cleveland Poker Open at JACK Cleveland Casino gets underway today at 12:00p.m. local time. Yesterday's flight drew in 159 players and only 19 remained at the end of the night. Art Demmerley bagged the largest stack of the day with 454,000.

Players will begin with a 25,000 starting stack, and Day 1b was scheduled to play through 15, 40-minute levels but will wrap up when the tournament clock hits 6:00 in level 14. This is the point of the tournament where the action was stopped yesterday due to hitting 12% of the field. All players are allowed one re-entry per flight, and late registration is available up through the beginning of Level 13.

The blinds begin at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. A 10-minute break will be given to the players after every three levels, with a 40-minute dinner break after level nine. The blinds and antes will reach 2000/4000/4000 at Level 14, which will conclude play for the day.

Players who are unable to bag chips today will have a chance to try again tomorrow on Day 1c. The survivors of the three starting flights will come back as a combined field for Day 2 Sunday, and the tournament will play down to a champion.

Friedman Stacks Opponent With Aces vs Kings

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Adam Friedman
Adam Friedman

After what appeared to be a five-bet jam from Adam Friedman in middle position, the player under the gun called off his remaining stack of around 22,000.

Adam Friedman: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop was a safe one for Friedman and he still needed to fade just two outs after the {7-Hearts} fell on the turn. The {9-Spades} completed the board and Friedman sent his opponent to the rebuy cage.
