Lee Triples With the Nuts

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Rick Lee
Rick Lee

Gary Hansen opened to 24,000 in middle position and received a call from Rick Lee in the hijack. Austin Yoo also called, defending his big blind, and the flop came {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Action checked to Lee and he bet 40,000. Both players called.

The turn came {a-Clubs} and action checked to Lee again. He shoved all in for around 200,000 and both Yoo and Hansen found calls before checking through the river {8-Hearts} to take the hand to showdown.

Rick Lee: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Gary Hansen: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Austin Yoo: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Lee's turned Broadway faded the other two players' combined outs to a chopped Broadway, flush, and full house, and he successfully earned the triple as a result.

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Trevor Sather
Trevor Sather

The cutoff opened the action with a raise to 31,000 and received a call fro Bob Shao, who was on the button. Trevor Sather called in the big blind as well to take action three ways to a flop of {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Sather checked to the cutoff, who made a continuation-bet of 60,000. Shao folded, putting action back onto Sather, and he shoved for a bit over a quarter-million. The raise proved to be more than the cutoff wished to commit and Sather took down the pot as a result.

"I finally have some brown (25,000) chips," said Sather as the pot was sent his way. He later revealed he had {a-}{k-}.

Yoo reached for chips and put out a raise of 110,000. Lee thought for a few moments and then let his hand go, earning Yoo the pot with his flop raise.

Kyle Anderson
Kyle Anderson

Kyle Anderson just confirmed his elimination on his way to the payout desk, saying he lost a coin flip all in preflop.

"Queens versus ace-king. He spiked a king."

The player Anderson was referencing was Dale Eberle, who moved to Table 12 after the bubble burst and has been tearing through his opposition as is evidenced by his now seven-figure stack of 1.15 million.
