Lin Doubles Through Stefan

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

With roughly 29,000 in the middle Sarah Stefan, first to act, checked her option on the {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} board.

Xiang Lin then moved his remaining 12,000 forward and Stefan made the call.

Xiang Lin: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Sarah Stefan: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Unfortunately for Stefan the turn card that gave her kings-up also gave Lin Broadway.

Kelsall Falls

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

AJ Kelsall was all in for his last 13,000 or so with {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and up against a player holding {a-}{j-}. After a flop that didn't improve him, Kelsall nailed the {4-Spades} on the turn. Unfortunately for him, the {j-} on the river sent him to the rail.

Stefan Gets Value on the River

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

With 3,800 in the pot and a flop of {k-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts}, the player in the small blind checked and then called when Sarah Stefan bet 1,300 from the button.

Action then went check-check on the {8-Diamonds} turn before the small blind checked for the third time on the {3-Clubs} river.

Stefan opted to bet, this time 3,100, and her opponent called.

Stefan tabled the {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a pair of aces and it was good as her opponent sent his cards to the muck.

Nguyen Wins

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

There was a raise from middle position to 1,200, a call from Daniel Jones in late position and Nguyen Nguyen also made the call from his small blind.

From her big blind Camille Brown then re-raised it to 6,600 which got folds from the original raiser and Jones, but the short-stacked Nguyen decided to just go with it and shipped his remaining 6,300 into the middle and Brown made the call.

Nguyen Nguyen: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Camille Brown: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Nguyen was behind and needed a good board to stay alive, which he definitely got on the {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} runout.

Baker Three-Bets River

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Two players put in about 7,500 apiece on an {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop, and an early player checked to Aaron Baker on a {4-Spades} turn. He bet small with 2,700 and his opponent was in there with a check-call. Baker nudged up to 2,800 on the {9-Hearts} river and faced a check-raise to 12,000. He responded with another raise to 27,800, and his opponent tank-folded.

One for Wisconsin's Dan Dombrowski

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Dan Dombrowski
Dan Dombrowski

After the under-the-gun player limped, Wisconsin's Dan Dombrowski raised to 1,700 next to action. It folded around to the player in the big blind, who called, and then the UTG limper put in the additional 1,100 to see a {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop.

Two checks saw Dombrowski continue for 3,800 and the player in the big blind insta-folded.

The UTG player gave it some thought, double-checked his cards, and then sent them to the muck.

It wasn't much of a hand, but it gave us a good excuse to update you on Dombrowski's chip stack, which is among the biggest in the room.

Ajayi Stays Alive

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

The dealer spread a flop of {j-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

The first player to act in the heads-up pot put out a bet of 9,000, which was more than was in the middle. Dapo Ajayi, then three-bet shoved, and with action back on other player he asked for a count.

After the dealer confirmed a total of 25,300 the player made the call.

Dapo Ajayi: {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}

Ajayi was ahead but definitely had to fade some outs, which he did on the {4-Clubs} turn and {9-Hearts} river and secured the double-up.
