Laurette Thurber Takes from the Boys

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Laurette Thurber
Laurette Thurber

Brad Tyler os Sioux Falls, South Dakota opened for 2,500 under the gun and recent WSOP Online Circuit ring winner Kyle Miholich called next to act. Action folded around to Laurette Thurber in the small blind and she opted to three-bet it to 5,000.

The big blind folded, both Tyler and Miholich called, and the flop came down {4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, which all three players checked.

After the dealer burned and turned the {9-Hearts}, Thurber bet 6,000 and Tyler folded. Miholich called and it was heads-up action to the {j-Diamonds} river.

Thurber bet again, this time 10,000, and that did the trick as Miholich folded.

"Your kings are good," Miholich quipped. Thurber silently sent her cards to the muck and collect the pot.

Mark Feinberg Delivered New Life on the River

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Mark Feinberg
Mark Feinberg

There were approximately 10,000 already in the pot and a flop of {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} when Mark Feinberg and Chris Smith butted heads. The former ultimately got his stack of approximately 25,000 in the middle and the latter snapped him off.

Mark Feinberg: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Chris Smith: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Feinberg's two black cowboys were no good as Smith had flopped top set.

The {2-Diamonds} turn was of no consequence, but the {k-Diamonds} river sure was as Feinberg spiked his two outer to make a bigger set and stay alive.

"I told you I was trying to punt," said Feinberg, clearly energized by the river card that delivered him new life.

Juicy Pot for Christian Cervantez

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Christian Cervantez
Christian Cervantez

Just before the first break of the day, we happened by Table 8 with a big hand already in progress. There was a good amount of chips already in the middle and a board reading {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts} when the player in the small blind moved all in for his last 10,000 or so.

Christian Cervantez was in the hijack and called.

Small Blind: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Christian Cervantez: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The small blind confidently showed the flopped straight but it was no good as Cervantez had flopped a set that turned into a rivered full boat.

Casimiro Sanchez II Stays Alive

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Casimiro Sanchez II
Casimiro Sanchez II

After a player in early position opened for 4,000, Casimiro Sanchez II shipped his short stack of 7,800 from the cutoff. The player in the small blind then four-bet jammed and the original raiser got out of the way.

Casimiro Sanchez II: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Small Blind: {6-Spades}{7-Spades}

Sanchez II was way out in front and improved his position when the {k-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop paired his ace. The {k-Diamonds} turn secured the double and Sanchez II was pushed the pot after the meaningless {j-Hearts} was run out on the river.
