Defending Champ Wins With Ducks

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Sergio Mireles
Sergio Mireles

Action on the table folded around to Defending Champ Sergio Mireles who limped in on the button, the small blind player did the same and the big blind checked their option.

The {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop was checked around to the {8-Hearts} turn where the big blind player led out for 1,200 and only Mireles called to see the {4-Diamonds} complete the board on the river.

Both players checked and Mireles showed a pair of ducks {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} which was good enough to win the pot as his opponent mucked {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Mitch Schock
Mitch Schock

The player from middle position raised to 3,300, Mitch Schock three-bet all and action folded back to the initial raiser who called off their remaining 9,000 stack.

Mitch Schock: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

It was a classic race with Schock looking to hold and he did after the board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

Mader Dusts Opponent

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Phil Mader From Day 1a Action
Phil Mader From Day 1a Action

Phil Mader raised to 2,300 from middle position, the button player three-bet all in for 12,300 and the small blind player called off his last 2,300 stack. The big blind folded and action was back on Mader who tossed in his chips for the call.

Phil Mader: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Button Player: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Small Blind Player: {q-Spades}{7-Spades}

Mader held the best hand and nothing changed after the {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop. The {k-Hearts} turn was safe fore Mader but the {7-Diamonds} river paired the small blind player to give them a triple-up while the button player headed to the rail.
