Dave Ouellette

With respect to Ryan DePaulo's vlog, we've had a great opportunity to pay homage with this shot of popular local player Dave Ouellette and his buddy Jack.

Ouellette and Jack are sitting with a healthy 138,000 chips as the night winds down with a potential hard stop at 31 players looming.

Bekavac Busted by Santi

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Dan Bekavac
Dan Bekavac

Dan Bekavac's run in the tournament has come to an end at the hands of Josh Santi.

Bekavac open-jammed his final 53,000 in the hijack and was called by Santi in the cutoff. The rest of the table folded and Bekavac was at risk.

Dan Bekavac: {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Josh Santi: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Help came for Bekavac on the {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, but the {6-Clubs} turn and {7-Hearts} river ended his chance of making Day 2 late in the day again.

Big Stack Violence!

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ron Kohner
Ron Kohner

The two biggest stacks in the room just got involved in a huge pot that has solidified Ron Kohner's chip lead as the end of night approaches.

With over 100,000 in the pot on the river with the board reading {3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Michael Williams checked to Kohner, who bet 20,000. Williams then check-raised to 65,000 and was snap-called by Kohner.

Williams showed {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for a bluff with a missed flush draw and Kohner turned over {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for winning trip nines.

With the win, Kohner climbs over 600,000 as the final four hands of the night are being played before the remaining players bag up for Day 2.
