Welcome to the MSPT Grand Falls $1,110 Main Event
The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) is in action today at the Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood, Iowa. Nestled in the corner of Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota, players from all around will be getting fired up for the much-anticipated Main Event beginning shortly.
Day 1a starts at 3 p.m. this afternoon. With a $200,000 guarantee, the two-day event is sure to attract a large field seeking championship glory and the largest piece of the healthy prize pool.
Last year's Grand Falls Main Event saw 532 total entrants generate a prize pool of $514,540, far surpassing the guarantee. It was Nicholas "grizpoker" Smith, from Indianapolis, Indiana who came out on top of that field to win $110,633 and his first MSPT title.
As a reentry event with two starting flights, one each on Friday and Saturday, players will have plenty of chances to find a bag for Day 2 action on Sunday. Players will start with 25,000 in chips and enjoy 40-minute levels to allow for plenty of deep-stack play.
