Day 2 of the The Mid-States Poker Tour $1,110 Main Event No-Limit Hold’em at FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Michigan begins today, Sunday May 15th at 11 AM. The culmination of the three starting days sees the initial field of 2,330 brought down to 311 with 252 of the field receiving a minimum payout of $2,484. The total prize pool tallied up to $2,260,100 with all eyes on the whopping $333,144 being given to first place.

Day 1c leader David Peterson bagged the chip lead due to a giant hand late at night and will come into today with 1,145,000 in chips, followed by Day 1a’s David Reed with 763,000 and Kian Acadnia with 698,000. Defending champion Bobby Noel is looking for another deep run and will sit down with 43,000 chips. Other MSPT champions remaining in the field include Dan Bekavac (688,000), Aaron Johnson (385,000), Chris Moon (132,000), and Max Havlish (95,000). Other player that found their way to bags included poker commentator Jamie Kerstetter (97,000), Daniel Swartz (172,000), Nicolas Manion (144,000), WSOP bracelet winner Chris Tryba (77,000), and WSOP Main Event Champion Joe Cada (140,000).

There will be 28:00 left of play in level 15 with blinds at 3,000/5,000 after which the levels will resume as normal with 40-minute levels from 3,000/6,000 onward and 10-minute breaks between every three levels. Brett Reichard raised to 12,000 in early position and Kevin Ruscitti three-bet to 60,000 which folded all other action and Reichard called.

The flop came out {k-}{3-}{2-} and Reichard checked as Ruscitti continued for 60,000. Reichard raised to 150,000 and Rossini moved all-in for 340,000 and Reichard snap-called.
