John Pierce Eliminated in 3rd Place ($76,528)

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
John Pierce
John Pierce

John Pierce raised all in for 2,000,000 from the button and Ben Hanson snap-called from the small blind.

John Pierce: {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Ben Hanson: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Pierce was behind needing help, but a queen appeared in the window on the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} leaving him drawing to running diamonds for a chop at best.

The turn did come red, but it was the {j-Hearts}, leaving Pierce drawing dead to the {9-Spades} river and he made his exit in third place for $76,528.

Warner Spikes River to Double Through Pelton

Level 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Chan Pelton opened under the gun and then called Dan Warner's 1,000,000 three-bet jam from the big blind.

Dan Warner: {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Chan Pelton: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Warner was behind holding live cards but neither came on the {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop.

The {k-Clubs} wasn't a bad card for Warner as it gave him more outs with an open-ended straight draw and luckily for him, the {j-Clubs} river was one of those outs as it secured his much-needed double.

Pierce Connects with Flop to Double Through Warner

Level 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
John Pierce
John Pierce

John Pierce raised all in for 1,820,000 from the button and Dan Warner looked him up from the big blind.

John Pierce: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Dan Warner: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Warner had Pierce dominated until the {4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop fell pairing his jack, but he still had a sweat as it gave Warner a Broadway draw.

Luckily for Pierce, the {9-Hearts} turn followed by the {8-Diamonds} river didn't change a thing, and he collected his double-up.
