Alikhani Crosses 200,000

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ed Alikhani
Ed Alikhani

Ed Alikhani is making Day 1c his own personal playground, having built a huge stack already and now becoming the first player over the 200,000 mark.

With approximately 12,000 in the pot already on a board reading {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Rocco Iati checked to Alikhani, who bet 7,000.

The bet represented almost half of Iati's stack, but he clicked the call button to get bad news as the chip leader showed him {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

Iati mucked his cards as another pot was pushed to Alikhani.

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Adam Friedman

In a four-way pot on the turn, with the board reading {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Christina Gollins led out for 2,200 from the big blind. Brad Sailor folded in early position, Adam Friedman called in middle position, and Huy Nguyen folded in late position.

The river brought the {9-Clubs}, putting three clubs on the board. Both players checked, and Golling showed {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for an eight-high straight, while Friedman flashed {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for the bottom end of the straight.

On the next hand on a flop of {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, After Aaron Henderson checked to Friedman, he check-raised Friedman's 800 chip bet to 3,700, which Friedman called.

The players checked the {10-Spades} turn, and on the river Henderon flicked out a single T-1,000 chip. Friedman quickly min-raised to 2,000, saying "value". Henderson opted to just call to see Friedman show {k-Spades}{7-Spades} for a pair of sevens.

Henderson rolled over {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a flopped flush to drag the pot.

MSPT Riverside runner-up Jamie Allen raised to 2,000 before the flop from middle position and was called to his left by Shun Wakita.

On the {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, Allen continued for 3,000 and Wakita called.

The turn brought the {8-Spades} and Allen kept firing, this time for 5,500. Again, Wakita called.

The {a-Spades} appeared on the river, and Allen fired in the rest of his stack, approximately 20,000.

Wakita had an easy call as he rolled over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, while Allen tossed his {q-Spades}{10-Clubs} bluff into the muck and headed back to the registration desk for a fresh 25,000 chips.
