Welcome to Day 1a of the MSPT Venetian Main Event

MSPT Venetian
MSPT Venetian

Welcome to Day 1a of the $1,100 Main Event at the final Mid-States Poker Tour(MSPT) stop of the year at Venetian Las Vegas. Cards go in the air at 11:10 a.m. local time for the first of two flights in the closing event of the MSPT season.

As the season comes to an end, Josh Reichard sits stop the 2023 leaderboard with 6,422 points, and he has one more opportunity to add to that total before the season wraps up on Friday. He’s followed on the leaderboard by CJ Peake with 5,775 and Dan Bekavac with 5,282. The total number of points available in a given tournament is based on the number of entries, but a win for Peake or Bekavac in the final week of the season could make things interesting.

Players will sit down with 25,000 in chips and play 40-minute levels throughout the two-day tournament. Registration will remain open until approximately 5:55 p.m. and players can reenter as many times as they wish during both flights. Surviving players will return on Friday at 11:00 a.m. to play for the guaranteed prize pool of $300,000 on Day 2.

Be sure to keep it with the PokerNews team all week long for live updates from the floor of the $1,100 Main Event at MSPT Venetian.
