Gilreath Sends Lang to the Rebuy Window

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Philip Gilreath limped from under the gun and action folded around to Mike Lang for a check of the option from the big blind. The flop was {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

Lang checked the flop and raised to 1,100 when Gilreath tossed out 300. Gilreath thought for a moment and slid out a stack with more than Lang had left.

"How big is your ten?" Gilreath asked.

"You probably have pocket aces, but I get a fresh stack," Lang said as he committed the last of his chips.

Mike Lang: {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Philip Gilreath: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Gilreath was way ahead with a set of nines and the runout of {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} sent Lang to the rebuy window for another shot.

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Clayton Quint
Clayton Quint

Clayton Quint raised to 1,100 from under the gun before CJ Peake three-bet to 3,700 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Quint called to see a flop.

The flop was {7-Spades}{q-Spades}{a-Spades} and both players checked to see {k-Hearts} on the turn. Peake called a 3,600 bet from Quint and the river was {2-Diamonds}.

Quint fired 6,000 at the river and then called for his last 13,800 when Peake shoved with more. Peake turned over {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks, but Quint had {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} to take the big pot with aces and queens.

Action was heads up with nearly 20,000 in the pot and {2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs} on the board when Desmond Haynes checked and his opponent went all in for 17,500. Haynes leaned back and thought over his options before he finally tossed out the chips to call and turned over {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. His opponent had {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

The river was {q-Clubs} and Haynes held on with the pocket queens to secure the big early pot.

Kimball Triples in Early Clash

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

PokerNews picked up the action as a player in the big blind raised to 4,700 before another opponent in middle position made it 13,500. Jeff Kimball shoved from the small blind for 15,600 and the big blind shoved for just a little bit more before his opponent in middle position called with both players covered. The dealer worked out the side pots and the cards were turned over.

Jeff Kimball: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Big Blind: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Middle Position: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Kimball made a flush with the nine of clubs to triple up. The big blind took a small side pot with aces and fours to leave his opponent in middle position with just a few big blinds.

Elsewhere in the room, CJ Peake and Mike Lang have taken their seats.
