While PokerNews is here offering live updates for the $1,100 Main Event, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about some of the side events that have taken place out over the past week for the Winter Poker Classic here at Running Aces Casino.

In Event #4: $250 NLH Seniors, 160 runners created a $32,000 prize pool that was paid out to the top 18 players.

Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were John Gallenberg (10th - $608), Bruce Wolfe (13th - $512), Chii Cheah (15th - $512), and Steven Knish (18th - $448).

In the end, it was Bob Moore who collected every chip in play to capture the MSPT Winter Poker Classic Trophy, along with a $8,640.

Vincent Wolrab raised to 3,000 from the hijack only to call an 8,000 three-bet Todd Melander tossed out directly to his left from the cutoff.

The {6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} board was checked to the {5-Clubs} river where Wolrab check raised Melander's 5,000 bet to 15,000.

Melander called, and showed {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} to win the pot.

MSPT Hall of Famer Blake Bohn raised to 2,200 from middle position and found three callers that saw a {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop.

The big blind check-folded after Bohn continued for 5,700 while Bill Brudenell called from the hijack, along with Kyna England from the button.

The {7-Hearts} turn was checked to England who fired out 9,400 only to have Bohn raise to 40,000.

Both Brudenell and England quickly mucked their hand giving Bohn the pot.

There were four players who took to a {3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop for 2,500 a piece which included Bryan Manke from middle position and Elizabeth Ethridge from the button.

The initial raiser check folded after Manke fired out 3,500 while the other two called to see the {9-Clubs} turn.

All three players checked, and the {7-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Manke was first to act and fired out an uncontested 7,500 to win the pot.
