The $1,100 Main Event No-Limit Hold’em is one of four trophy events this week that also include the $400 Pot-Limit Omaha, $135 Nightly No-Limit Hold’em, and $360 Last Chance No-Limit Hold’em. Unlike those however, the main event boasts an impressive $500,000 guarantee on the prize pool, nearly double the $300,000 when the tour came in January of 2020.

Steele beat out a field of 611 entrants that included players like DJ MacKinnon (41st-$2,548),Christopher Moon (26th-$3,675), and Adam Friedman ($5,927). The final table saw Ronnie Dowdy finish runner up to Steele, both are expected to make return showings at this year’s run of the main event.
