Glenn Finds A Snowman

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

With one player raising to 1,000 under-the gun, Eugene Glenn on the button became one of the 4 callers of that bet in the hand.

The board of {j-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Spades} checked through until action got to Glenn on the last street, which saw him bet 2,500.

The big blind thought about it for about 30 seconds and every other player in the hand folded. Glenn turned up {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a rivered set of eights which was good against the flashed {a-Diamonds} of the opponent.

Wilklow's Set Is Good

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Michael Wilklow
Michael Wilklow

Action was picked up on the flop between six players including Michael Wilklow in the big blind and Alfredo Miguel in early position.

The flop came out {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and with about 4,900 in the center, Wilklow led out for 2,500 which was called by only Miguel in early position.

The turn of {10-Clubs} saw Wilklow check and Miguel bet 4,000 to which Wilklow quickly called.

The river {4-Clubs} saw both players check and Wilklow turned over {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} for a set of sixes. He was surprised to learn that it was good as Miguel turned over {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for top two on a four club runout, neither of which had a club. Wilklow took down the pot to push his stack close to 40,000.

Walsh Doubles

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

With a board reading {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and roughly 5,000 in the center, Patrick Walsh was involved in a heads up pot between himself and another player.

The opponent checked to Walsh who moved all-in for his remaining 6,000 chips and the opponent went into the tank. After some deliberation, the opposing player tossed in the 6,000 for the call and both hands were tabled.

The opponent showed {8-Hearts}{7-Spades} for eights and sevens which was no good against the {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} of Walsh who had rivered the nine high straight.
