McMaster Binks

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There was about 20,000 in the middle preflop before action was heavy on a {2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop. It looked like a player had already bet 6,000 before Derek McMaster shoved all in for about 33,000 and a third player jammed for 28,000. McMaster and that player showed down when the other folded.

McMaster: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}

"Deuces?" McMaster asked. "I've got seven-high."

The dealer burned and turned a {q-Diamonds} and McMaster quipped, "oops." He held on the {7-Clubs} river to bust his opponent.

Johnson's Kings Hold

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Rodger Johnson was short-stacked and all in for about 12,000, but the only player in there with him had even fewer chips, around 9,000. That player turned over {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} but was smashed by Johnson's {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}. The {6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop was a great one for Johnson, but he did have a couple of card to fade after the {j-Hearts} turn. The {a-Diamonds} river wasn't one of them.

Bad Flop for Sepiol

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Sepiol opened under the gun, the small blind three-bet to 7,000, and Sepiol called. On the {5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, the small blind checked. Sepiol bet 5,500, the small blind made it 13,500, and Sepiol jammed.

Sepiol's opponent called with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and was a mile ahead of his {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. When no more queens emerged, he shipped over 31K.

Massey Elicits a Big Fold

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Aaron Massey, in a previous event here.
Aaron Massey, in a previous event here.

There was about 6,000 in the middle in a multi-way pot when a player in early position bet 2,300 on {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Aaron Massey popped it to 6,600 in middle position, the other players folded, and action was back on the bettor. He thought a bit then mucked {j-}{j-} face up.

Massey dragged the pot without indicating whether the fold was a good one.
