Kessler Finds Two Double-Ups

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A short-stacked Allen Kessler shoved for his last 14,800 from late position and was called by a single player in the small blind.

Kessler: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Small blind: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

It was a race, but the {6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs} left Kessler with trips and he doubled through.

Shortly after, Kessler found himself all-in again with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} against an opponent's {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The board ran clean and Kessler doubled up again.

"Don't forget to add the part where Kessler tanked for 90 seconds with jacks," Aaron Massey, who is at the same table as Kessler, quipped.

Full House for Johnson

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Rodger Johnson
Rodger Johnson

A player in early position opened to 2,000 from early position and was called by Reg Powell in middle position, Rodger Johnson in the cutoff, and both players in the blinds.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades} and action checked to the preflop raiser, who bet 5,000. Only Johnson called.

The original raiser checked on the {3-Diamonds} turn, prompting a 7,000 bet from Johnson, which his opponent called.

The {9-Spades} completed the board and Johnson's opponent checked once more. Johnson fired 15,000 and was called. Johnson tabled {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a full house and his opponent mucked.

Two Pair Good for Liebert

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

The player in the cutoff opened to 2,200 and found one caller in Kathy Liebert from the big blind.

Both players checked on the {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, but Liebert bet out 3,000 on the {a-Hearts} turn. Her opponent called.

The {8-Clubs} filled the river and Liebert quickly bet 10,000. Her opponent called again and Liebert tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top two pair, which was good as her opponent mucked.

Morgan Flushed Out

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
John Morgan
John Morgan

A player in early position opened to 1,500 and was called by John Morgan in the hijack and both players in the blinds.

Action checked to Morgan on the {j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, and he bet 1,000. The player in the small blind then check-raised to 5,000 and action folded back to Morgan, who shoved in his remaining chips. The small blind called and hands were tabled.

Small blind: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Morgan: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Morgan would need to fade hearts or running cards to a full house, but the {a-Hearts} came immediately on the turn and left him needing the board to pair.

It wasn't meant to be, as the {9-Clubs} completed the board, sending Morgan to the rail. Morgan re-entered shortly after busting.
